I started Meals Matter because I saw a stark increase of food insecurity in my own hometown and knew I had to help address it. I realized how many families, kids, and seniors in my community were struggling to access something as basic as a nutritious food, and it became extremely personal to me. I have always loved helping people, but Meals Matter gave me that unique feeling of seeing a tangible impact in my community from the work we were doing. Building Meals Matter has been the most meaningful and rewarding commitment of my life and I’m extremely proud and grateful for that.

I got involved in Meals Matter because giving back to my community is something I’ve always held close to my heart. Starting in Middleton as a local project and seeing the growth it’s made since then has not only been one of the most enriching pieces of my high school and college careers but my lifetime. Being part of an organization like MM is the most influential activity someone can do in their youth, and I’m so happy that I took the risk and got involved!

I chose to co-found Meals Matter because I want to create change in local communities and inspire young change makers to help their communities. Through food drives, outreach events, and partnerships, we have been able to grow Meals Matter into an international nonprofit organization. Although Meals Matter's success has been more than we could have imagined, we are always hungry for more.

I helped create Meals Matter after seeing the tangible change we made in the Middleton community. As high school students, it's not often that you get the chance to be a part of something that makes tangible, long-standing change, which is exactly what has made Meals Matter stand out. Being a part of this mission to battle hunger has connected me so deeply to my community, peers, and neighbors, and has truly been the most amazing and fulfilling experience. No one should have to worry about where their next meal will come from. Our work has the incredible impact of easing that stressor for so many lives, which I am so endlessly grateful for.

I got involved with this organization because I was able to see the incredible impact of Middleton Meals Matter, not only on our community, but our youth. Since we were able to see amazing effects in such a short amount of time, I knew I wanted to help expand our organization.

I joined Meals Matter quickly after realizing that food insecurity is not a distant issue and that it affects communities everywhere, even in our own backyard. Becoming a leader in Meals Matter opened my eyes to what is possible when people stand together with a shared purpose. From our dedicated volunteers at food drives to the local businesses that support our mission, every person plays a role in creating impact. Together, we are building sustainable change, not only for today but for the a better tomorrow, and I am honored to be part of a team of compassionate leaders working to fight food insecurity one meal at a time.

I joined Meals Matter to make a tangible firsthand impact in my community. The issue of food insecurity was made clear to me by our founders, Noah and Wyatt. After hearing of the grave situation that my local community and communities all over the world were facing, I knew I had to do something to make a difference. In my journey with Meals Matter, we have created a massive impact in our community and countless others. I wish to extend the progress we have made so that no one goes hungry.

I got involved with Meals Matter after seeing how much change Middleton Meals Matter was able to create. I also realized that hunger extends far beyond Wisconsin and many other communities need support too. Meals Matter is unlike any other volunteer organization I’ve been a part of. The ability to make real change fighting food insecurity on a global scale, all while having fun and building meaningful connections is truly amazing. If anyone is wondering whether they should start a Meals Matter chapter, my answer is an easy yes! It is the most impactful thing I have ever been a part of, and it has genuinely changed my life.
